Ireland's most forthright pundit, Eamon Dunphy, has launched a scathing attack on the title challenging prospects of both Manchester clubs.

United and City were the big spenders during the summer and both were expected to battle it out for the Premier League crown.

However, recent results have left United languishing in seventh place in the Premier League table and City without a win in five games in all competitions.
