WATCH: Ireland's Nicole Turner books place in Rio final

Nicole Turner has finished fourth in her heat of the women's 200m individual medley and her time of 3.17.09 was good enough to earn a place in the final.

The swimmer has now qualified for her third final in as many events, an impressive achievement given that she is still only 14-years-old.

“I was really happy with that swim,” Turner said afterwards.

The final takes place tonight at 11.39pm.

Elsewhere, equestrian Helen Kearney goes in the Grade 1-A team test - which starts at 5pm.

Sonar sailors John Twomey, Ian Costelloe and Austin O'Carroll take to the water for their first race at 5.35pm.

And the 7-a-side C-P footballers take on Great Britain in their final group game from 8.15pm.
