Gary O’Donovan has been selected as Ireland’s flag bearer for the closing ceremony at the Rio Olympic Games.

The Olympic Council of Ireland (OCI) has named O’Donovan, silver medallist in men’s lightweight double sculls, as its flag bearer to lead Team Ireland’s delegation during Sunday’s closing ceremony at the Maracanã Stadium.
