Irish champion handballer named in list of all-time greatest athletes

World champion handballer and former Cavan footballer Paul Brady has been named in a list of the top 15 greatest athletes.

The skinny365.com website has included the five-in-a-row handball world champion alongside the likes of Serena Williams, Pele, Michael Jordan and Muhammad Ali.

The site compiled the list based on criteria including the athlete’s accomplishments in their sport, special attributes the athlete had or has and for long they dominated their sport.

Of the Irish handball star they said: “Brady is the greatest, and most accomplished handball player of all-time.

“At 5’9″ he is hardly the most physically intimidating player on a handball court, but his ability to generate elite level power and his all-time great attention to detail have enabled Brady to dominate the game for the past 15 years, with no sign of stopping.”
