While Melbourne Renegades took on the Perth Scorchers today, one fan decided it was worth risking his neck to make the catch. And possibly other necks too.

He launched himself into the packed stands to snag the ball, sending other spectators flying.

He was absolutely delighted with himself for making the catch and, to be fair, no-one around him appears to be hurt.

Perhaps understandably though, some fans were less than impressed with his actions.

@RenegadesBBL can we stop making this guy a hero? He could've seriously injured the people he landed on. Not nice at all.
