The crowd got a thrill during half-time at the Senior Women’s National Cup semi-final between Team Montenotte Hotel and DCU at Neptune Stadium in Cork at the weekend.

A 14-Year-old Cork girl Annalise Murphy - no, not the 24-year-old Irish Olympic sailor from Rathfarnham - wowed spectators when she bagged a basket with her first attempt from the half-court line.

It comes after she hits the target from the free throw and three point lines, following a couple of attempts.

By-the-way, Team Montenotte Hotel beat DCU 71-65.
