Roscommon is welcoming a new European champion home today after David Concannon scooped a gold medal in the WDF European Cup in Romania over the weekend.
The Irish darts team of Concannon, Benny Grace, Sean McGowan, David and Jason Cullen, which also won a bronze medal in the team event, returned to Dublin Airport yesterday.
Concannon beat Lithuania's Darius Labanauskas in the final 6-5 to claim the gold.
He now enters illustrious company, with the likes of Phil Taylor and Raymond Van Barneveld having all won the tournament in the past.
Team manager, Ollie Monaghan, was delighted with how the weekend went.
"I have to say it has been an honour and a privilege just to have witnessed the success of the Irish here in Bucharest," he said.
"But to have been a part of it as Men's Manager made it even more amazing!
"Each and every one of the men's team contributed greatly to winning the overall team bronze".
The Irish women's team also performed with credit and just missed out on a medal.
