Gay kiss at opening ceremony 'was planned'

John Barrowman’s gay kiss during the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony was scripted, according to Glasgow 2014 chief executive David Grevemberg.

The kiss between actor Barrowman and a kilted dancer was a “confident” move which emphasised the equality of Scotland, he said.
