Taylor in line to guarantee bronze if she can beat Ioana-Mera
Olympic champion Katie Taylor can guarantee a bronze at the very least if she beats formerly Cork-based Lavina Ioana-Mera in today's European Championship quarter final in Bucharest.
Taylor is aiming for a her sixth successive title in Bucharest.
A win today will see her gain her 21st consecutive European victory since she first claimed Continental gold in 2005.
Michaela Walsh and Joanna Lambe are also in quarter final action, All three Irish fighters are in the ring between quarter past one and two thirty.
