USA claim world record in Sopot

The United States finished top of the medals table at the World Indoors in Sopot, rounding off the Games in suitably emphatic style by claiming the week’s only world record, in the men’s 4x400m relay.
In clocking 3 minutes 2.13 seconds, the US – consisting of Clemons, Verburg, Butler and Smith - beat their own 15-year-old record set in Maebashi at the 1999 World Indoors, emulating the American women in winning this crown.
