Donegal athlete Mark English set a new national indoor 800m record at today’s Woodies DIY AAI open games in Athlone.

English clocked a time of 1:46:82 to finish second behind Dutch man Thijem Kuppers, resetting Daniel Caulfield's national record of 1:47:21 set in Boston 13 years ago.
