Respectable finish for Mulhare at European Championships
Michael Mulhare produced a solid performance in the Men’s senior race at the 2013 European Cross Country Championships to finish in 15th position.
The men’s European Championship was won by Spain’s Adbel Bezabeh some 56 seconds clear of Mulhare.
The Irish team finished sixth overall with 90 points, Dave McCarthy(18th), Paul Pollock (26th) and Dan Mulhare (31st) made up the Irish team.
Spain with a total of 31 points took gold, silver went to Belgium with 49 points and Great Britain took bronze on 60 points.
“We packed well together,” said Mulhare. “We have great team spirit and this is just the start for this team” added Mulhare.
The Irish team leave Belgrade empty handed however, the first time Ireland have not picked up a European cross country championship medal since 2009.
