Former rugby star loses legal battle over property
Former Irish rugby international Frankie Sheahan and his brother Joseph have lost a legal challenge against attempts to appoint a receiver to their property investments.
The brothers had sought a High Court order against the appointment of receivers by Bank of Ireland.
The court said the brothers had entered into a contract with the bank which allowed it to repossess the properties if repayments had not been made.
The brothers had argued that the bank was legally barred from repossessing the lands as a result of the Dunne ruling in 2011.
