Shaun Murphy swept ahead in his Betfair World Championship quarter-final against Judd Trump as the Crucible saw the best of the Magician.

He wore the smile of a contented man as he left the arena, with a stern-faced Trump knowing that at 6-2 adrift he faced a crunch middle session to the contest this evening.
