Britton drops out of Great Ireland Run

Fionnuala Britton has had to withdraw from the SPAR Great Ireland Run on Sunday .

The European cross country champion has cited fatigue following a long, successful cross-country and indoor season.

It is still a strong field though with defending champion Gemma Steel of Great Britain facing a very stiff challenge from Ireland’s European Championships gold-medal team members Linda Byrne, Ava Hutchinson and Lizzie Lee.
