The Paralympics are underway in London this morning with several Irish athletes involved.

Eilish Byrne scored 67.714% in the para-dressage Team Test at Greenwich Park this morning.

Ellen Keane competes in the pool in the 100m Butterfly S9 Heats at the Aquatics Centre just after 11am.

At the ExCel Arena, Ronan Rooney will take part in the Men's Singles M2 Table Tennis Preliminaries at 11.40am.

Paracycling tandem pair James Brown and Damien Shaw will take part in the Individual Pursuit B Qualifiers at 11.05am at the Velodrome. Brown is competing at his fifth Paralympic Games.

Back in the Aquatic Centre, James Scully will compete in the 50m Freestyle S5 Heats just after 11.30am.

In table tennis, at Rena McCarron Rooney and Eimear Breathnach will take part in the Women's Singles F1-2 Preliminaries at 1pm and Philip Quinlan competes in the Men's Singles M1 Preliminaries at the ExCel Arena.

At 2pm, Enda Smyth will compete in the individual 1km Time Trial C1-3.
