Bray all set for Katie's crowning moment

Final preparations are being put in place for the screening of Katie Taylor's Olympic final in her hometown in Co Wicklow.

In a repeat of the World Boxing Championship final in China in May, the 26 year old will face Russia's Sofya Ochigava.

The lightweight bout will begin at around 4.45pm in the ExCel Arena in London, which will be filled with Irish fans.

Bray Town Council and Chamber of Commerce are setting up giant screens at the Shoreline Leisure Centre to show the fight.

And John Brady, a member of the organising committee, is urging the huge crowds expected to turn out to use public transport: "We have all the facilities in palce and there will be shuttle buses bringing people up to the Showgrounds.

"There'll be entertainment to get people geared up, not that they'll need to get into the mood. The atmosphere here is electric."
