Britton out of the 5,000m final

Fionnuala Britton has failed to qualify for the final of the women's 5000 metres despite finishing 10th in a new personal best time in her heat.

The Wicklow runner ended up as the 11th fastest loser overall as the second heat of the event produced six quicker losing times than hers.
