Swimmer Murphy withdraws from Olympics

Grainne Murphy has withdrawn from the Olympics today, Swim Ireland has confirmed.

The 19-year-old already withdrew from the 200m heat, but was set to compete in the 800m freestyle heat on Thursday.

She suffered from glandular fever recently and was not thought to be fully fit after a disappointing performance in the 400m freestyle heat, finishing eighth.
