Barnes defeated Romanian boxer Stefan Caslarov 17-9 in a comfortable win that guarantees his place in London.

Later this evening, Tommy McCarthy boxes off against Jozsef Daniel Darmos of Hungary, while Adam Nolan is just a fight away from the Olympics after winning his bout earlier today.

There was disappointment for David Oliver Joyce however, when he lost 19-10 to Evaldas Petrauskas this morning.
