Formula One is set to have two grands prix per year in the United States with New Jersey to be announced as a venue later today, it is understood.

After many failed attempts to establish the sport in the country, F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone is understood to have given the green light to have two GPs each year from as early as 2013.
