Taylor and Wade into semis
Phil Taylor and James Wade are on course to meet in the final of the PDC World Grand Prix after coming through their respective quarter-finals in Dublin.
Taylor’s bid for a 10th title saw him ease past Mark Webster in straight sets as he dropped only three legs in the entire game.
’The Power’ booked his semi-final spot against Richie Burnett with a 10-darter and a 145 finish.
Reigning champion Wade overcame Andy Smith with a 4-2 victory – taking the final two sets 3-2 as he bids for a third World Grand Prix win.
Wade now takes on Northern Ireland’s Brendan Dolan, who won through to his first major semi-final with a 4-1 defeat of Scotland’s John Henderson.
Resurgent Burnett reached his first major semi-final since 2001 with a 4-1 defeat of left-hander Mark Hylton.
