Nevin progresses to semis at World boxing championships

John Joe Nevin has guaranteed himself a bronze medal at the very least with a win in his quarter-final at the World boxing championships in Baku.

The Cavan boxing club member beat his Uzbekistani opponent 19-17 despite trailing going in to the final round.

Darren O'Neill and Michael Conlan are in quarter-final action later.

All three men have already guaranteed their passage to next summer's London Olympics.
