Cork runner qualifies for final of 1500 metres
Cork's Ciaran O'Lionaird has qualified for the 1500 metres final at the World Championships in South Korea after a strong run in today's semi-final.
The Leevale athlete finished sixth in a time of 3:36:96, less than one hundreth of a second off the lead.
Earlier this morning, Deirdre Ryan qualified for the final of the High Jump following a career best performance in the heats.
Alaistar Cragg has qualified for the final of the 5000 metres, the South African-born runner finished fifth in his heat.
