Cuddihy posts personal best in 400m

Joanne Cuddihy has produced a season's best of 51.82 seconds to finish third in round one of the women’s 400m at the IAAF World Track and Field Championships in Daegu, South Korea.

This means she has secured an automatic qualification place into tomorrow's semi-final.

Already today Ireland's Fionnula Britton and Stephanie O'Reilly have failed to advance from the heats of the 3000m Steeplechase.
