World darts champion Adrian Lewis breezed through his second-round clash with Vincent van der Voort in the World Matchplay tournament in Blackpool, England last night.
Lewis was a 13-5 winner over the outclassed Dutchman at the Winter Gardens after making a strong start and never looking back.
Outspoken Phil Taylor rival Paul Nicholson crashed out at the hands of fans' favourite Raymond van Barneveld.
Nicholson has attracted attention for his apparent goading of the legendary Taylor and while he pushed the Dutchman tonight he ultimately came up short in a 13-9 defeat.
James Wade had to withstand a late surge from Mark Walsh to win 13-11 while earlier, Mark Webster beat Steve Beaton 13-7.
