Thousands miss out on Olympics tickets

Thousands of sports fans who believed they had been successful in buying Olympics tickets on Friday have discovered they have missed out after all.

Games organisers confirmed that 15,000 people who applied for tickets ended up with nothing.

The computer system operated on a first-come, first-served basis but organisers say people were able to submit applications for sports that had already sold out.
