Barnes forced out

Ireland’s reigning European amateur champion Paddy Barnes has been denied the chance to defend his title due to injury.

Barnes was due to compete in the European Championships starting next Friday in Turkey but has been forced to withdraw after suffering ligament damage and bone bruising to his left hand.
