Williams takes control of final

Mark Williams was on course to lift his third 12bet.com UK Championship crown after opening up a 6-2 lead over John Higgins in the best of 19-frame final at Telford.

The Welshman dominated the opening session with a series of impressive breaks against world number two Higgins.
