O’Sullivan powers into final
Ronnie O’Sullivan moved comfortably into the final of the 12bet.com World Open after a 3-1 semi-final win over Peter Ebdon.
O’Sullivan took a scrappy first frame, top-scoring with a hard-earned break of 31 during almost 30 minutes of action at the SECC in Glasgow.
But the world number six stepped up a gear in the second with a break of 135.
Ebdon kept himself in the match with a break of 69 and potted the first red of the fourth frame.
But he missed the subsequent brown and O’Sullivan looked set to finish the job until knocking a red in after potting the pink on a break of 47.
However, Ebdon took six attempts to manoeuvre his way out of a snooker behind the blue, despite having three reds to aim for, and O’Sullivan potted the final red from long range to take the frame 81-30.
O’Sullivan will play world champion Neil Robertson or Mark Williams in tonight’s final.
