Kavanagh savours victory at Madison Square Garden

Irish light welterweight Jamie Kavanagh marked his professional debut with a TKO win over American William Ware at Madison Square Garden last night.

Trainer Freddie Roach was in the corner of Dubliner Kavanagh, 20 later this month, as he floored Ware twice before the fight was stopped after one minute and 39 seconds of round two.
