Higgins happy to abide by Crucible tradition

John Higgins has felt a swift backlash following his suggestion that the Betfred.com World Championship final could be played over just one day.

The reigning world champion suggested last month that a shorter final could bring in larger audiences, but it would have meant a drastic change of tradition.
