Mixed results for Irish at World Indoor Championships

David Gillick powered through his 400 metres heat in first place in a time of 46.72 seconds at the World Indoor Championships in Doha this morning.

The two-time European indoor champion and the rest of the field were forced to change pace when a badly placed pole vault implement impeded the inside lane in the closing stages of the race.
