Lagat breaks indoor record

Bernard Lagat, the former world 5,000 metres champion, broke the American indoor record over the distance at the Reebok Boston Games on Saturday.

The Kenyan-born star fulfilled his pre-race promise of achieving the feat when winning in a time of 13 minutes 11.50 seconds.
