Ecclestone: Silverstone can make a fortune
Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone is happy that a deal has been struck to keep top-level racing at Silverstone but admits he could have staged a race elsewhere for a lot more money.
The 79-year-old has agreed a 17-year contract with the Northamptonshire circuit to ensure the long-term future of the British Grand Prix after Donington Park - where the race had been set to move to – failed to meet their obligations.
