Cork woman swims Channel in both directions

A 26-year-old Cork woman has become the first Irish person to swim the English Channel in both directions.

Lisa Cummins reached dry land last night after swimming from England to France and back again.

It took her more than 35 hours to complete the 70km swim.

Just over 20 people have ever achieved the feat.
