Muhammad Ali to visit Ireland

Boxing great Muhammad Ali is planning to travel to Europe next month to raise money for his non-profit Muhammad Ali Centre and hospices for children in the UK.

Boxing great Muhammad Ali is planning to travel to Europe next month to raise money for his non-profit Muhammad Ali Centre and hospices for children in the UK.

The Louisville, Kentucky-based Ali Centre which opened in 2005 said Ali, 67, and his wife Lonnie would make several appearances in Ireland and the UK.

Next year Ali, who has Parkinson’s disease, will mark the 50th anniversary of his first professional fight, which took place in Louisville against Tunney Hunsaker.
