UL launches wheelchair football competition

A new national competition for wheelchair footballers is being held today.

Teams from Dublin, Clare, Limerick, Cork, Kerry and the Midlands will be taking part in The National Powerchair Football Championship at Limerick University.

Association spokesperson, Liam McDonough, said he hopes some of the spectators who use a wheelchair become players at today’s event.
