Egan into final

Nine-time Irish senior champion Ken Egan booked his place in next Fridays Open Senior Competition light heavyweight final after chalking up a 12-1 win over Denis Hogan at the National Stadium in Dublin tonight.

Egan, a silver medal winner at the 29th Olympiad in Beijing, forced Hogan into two standing counts in the second - two body shots doing the damage - and was 8-1 up going into the final round.
