Cork City blew a chance to go joint-top of the table as they were frustrated by a resilient Rovers at Turner’s Cross.

Rovers keeper Robert Duggan made the save of the night from Danny Murphy in the first half.

Cork continued their dominance after the break with Timmy Kiely coming close, but they could find no way past a stubborn Rovers defence superbly marshalled by Darragh Maguire.
