World anti-doping chief John Fahey has called on sports to give the new ’whereabouts’ rule a chance to prove it can work.

Football bodies FIFA and UEFA both oppose the rule where players have to provide details of their location for one hour every day, even when on holiday, and a number of tennis stars have also voiced their criticism.
