Hendry targets hard work
Stephen Hendry believes the real hard work starts now after he booked his place in the quarter-finals of the Betfred.com World Championship.
The Perthshire potter crushed Ding Junhuiās hopes in the second round for the second year in a row, winning 13-10 last night.
Hendry has won the world title seven times before at the Crucible and was the undoubted king of the venue during the 1990s.
He said: āI know what it takes to win here but thereās so many great players still involved.
āIām in the quarter-finals but Iām not even halfway there.ā
Hendry displayed the form which made him the most feared man in the game as he won five of seven frames last night to convert an 8-8 scoreline into a deserved victory.
Although he turned 40 in January and has not won a world title since 1999, Hendry stressed that will not be a factor.
āAge means nothing,ā he said.
