Hession finishes 12th in semi-final

Paul Hession has failed to progress to the final of the 60 metres sprint after finishing in 12th in a time of 6.700secs, 0.170secs behind winner Dwain Chambers.

Veteran British athlete Chambers set a new European record in the semi, storming to a time of 6.42secs to beat the previous mark of 6.45 set by France's Ronald Pognon in 2005.
