Doherty loses to Dott

Dubliner Ken Doherty has gone down 9-4 to Graeme Dott in the first round of the Maplin UK Championship Snooker in Telford

The 1997 World Champion had to come through qualifying after dropping out of the worlds elite.

Speaking of the match, Doherty said he was disappointed.

On being out of the Worlds top 16, the Dubliner said it is difficult to be in the qualifiers now.
