Lewis lands big payday for prophetic punter

A Formula One fan who backed Lewis Hamilton to win the World Championship when he was just 13 years old was celebrating last night after pocketing £125,000 (€157,000) following the Briton's coronation as F1 champion.

The English punter, who has declined to be named, scooped £40,000 (€50,000) last season when he collected on a £200 (€251) wager on the youngster winning his first Grand Prix by the age of 23, at odds of 200/1.
