Di Resta due for McLaren test

British driver Paul di Resta was today due to test with the McLaren Mercedes Formula One team at Silverstone.

The 22-year-old Scottish driver currently lies second in the DTM series standings and was also due to drive at the Northamptonshire circuit tomorrow and on October 20 and 21.

Di Resta, who won the 2005 McLaren Autosport BRDC award and races for Mercedes-Benz in DTM, is allowed to test without restrictions on mileage and tyres as part of Formula One's 'Young Driver' programme.
