Alonso hails 'fantastic' win

Fernando Alonso hailed his Singapore Grand Prix victory as “fantastic” after the two-time world champion stormed through the pack to win the first night race in Formula One history.

After twice going fastest in practice the Renault driver thought he had seen his podium hopes obliterated yesterday when his qualifying came to end in the second session due to a fuel feed problem.
