Elliott wins Clare Rally

Patrick Elliott and his co-driver, Paul Goodman, have been declared winners of the Clare Rally, the penultimate round of the Dunlop National Rally Championship that ended in controversial circumstances on Sunday last.

At a meeting in Clare tonight (Wednesday), a protest alleging they entered a time control at the fifth stage nine minutes early was dismissed and there will be no appeal.
