Sutherland in quarter-final action

Middleweight Darren Sutherland will bid to become the third Irish boxer to make it through to the semi-finals of the 2008 Olympics Games at the Workers Indoor Arena in Beijing at around 1pm today.

Standing in his way is highly rated Venezuelan puncher Alfonso Blanco, who beat the 26-year-old St Saviours OBA Dublin clubman by a margin of seven points in the last 16 of the World Championships at the University of Illinois in Chicago last October.
