Goodbody moves to 18th in sailing

In Sailing, Ireland's Tim Goodbody lies 18th overall after scoring a 15th in Race 3 and 15th in Race 4 at the Beijing Olympics.

American, Zach Railey, has emerged as the new leader at the conclusion of day two.

The competition consists of a ten-race opening series and a final medal race for the ten boats ranked highest in the opening series.

Medal race points score as double points and may not be discarded.

Racing for Goodbody will continue tomorrow.

Tomorrow will also see another Irish sailing crew take to the water with Gerald Owens & Phil Lawton in the 470 men's double handed dinghy class.

Owen is the only one of the Irish team with previous Olympic experience.

At the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, Owens sailed with Ross Killian, currently the 470 coach.
